The VR5 was a flagship product of the Alpinefoil range that has evolved over years. This new version ( VR5 V3 ) was developed by using the technologies of its elders and redesigned to offer more scalability.
The goal is to propose a board that will accompany you far in your progress. From your first flights to your choice of discipline. All doors are open to you, have fun.
For 2022 the focus was on volume optimization, dimensions and bedding were slightly revised downwards. The new VR5 V3 is now characterised by a sense of compactness. Its generous dimensions are quickly forgotten in favor of your first sessions carving, freerace, waveriding,. Finally if you prefer the best start low beach of the range you are in the right place.
Its high tolerance gives you access to the most ambitious maneuvers. Learning transitions has never been easier. The new VR5 V3 takes over a concave bridge and a moderate volume forlmore control.
The inverted rails and the spatula have been redesigned to facilitate angling by minimizing water splashes on the mast.
The outline of this new foilboard is marked by progressive curves with weaker rays, resulting in an excellent behavior on the water. The VR5 V3 is very intuitive when touching or jibes in contact with water.
This V3 version all around now features 4FCS aileron housings, which complement this ultra-versatile product. In kite surfing she is ideal to go teasing small waves and indulge in medium conditions.
Finally, our new matte finish is very robust, preserving the rails and the contour of the board from small damages when it is laid on the ground or on the side.

The Characteristics
The concave deck for more comfort and unrivalled control of the board
Improved reverse rails for even more corner grip ease
Double concave hull*
Its expanded double-rocker progressive spatula from freeride skiing, the foil board immediately emerges from the water and accelerates
Redesigned outline for more compactness
*Its double concave hull avoids the suction effect encountered on conventional hull boards. This results in faster acceleration, a smoother take-off, and allows you to remain stable while maintaining your speed during touchdowns.
Its powerful acceleration is amplified by a distribution of volumes on the rear and front, giving it an exceptional ability to float, allowing it to start easily and without sinking, even for large riders.
How our boards are built
Its closed-cell EPS core is digitally machined and successively clad:
- Fiber glass, a traditional material used in the manufacture of boards;
- Of carbon T700, arranged in the following 3 axes with recovery of forces on the housing to cope with the stresses of the foil
- a bio-polymer bamboo-fibre-epoxy composite applied longitudinally to the board, which provides a foilboard resilience property. This technology allows the board to accept session after session efforts without changing behaviour and thus avoid so-called "fatigue" breaks.
- a high-quality epoxy resin used in the manufacture of all these composites. This resin was chosen over another because its solvent-free base is not environmentally aggressive. Moreover, by its nature, it is not subject to the phenomenon of osmosis.
Its F-Box carbon housing with automatic game catch-up is integrated into the board during its construction and allows a solid connection between the deck and the hull.Carbon fibre reinforcements distribute the forces over a wide area thus increasing rigidity and response and improving the pilot/foil bond. Its perfect underrun results in an absence of drag and therefore a better glide performance.
Its fields were reinforced with Airex and then covered with carbon.
Its wide and comfortable pads allow precise contact with the foil board.
Its polyester finish and bi-component paint are covered with UV-resistant polyurethane varnish.
On deck, a layer of Airex, a closed-cell material characterized by extreme tolerance to damage, strengthens the foot support area.
Its 32 inserts for Alpinefoil footstraps placed at the front and rear allow multiple combinations of foot placement. One, two, or three footstraps, placed straight or in V, loose or adjusted as close as possible to the feet, will personalize the ergonomics of this foilboard according to the level, the type of practice, the conditions of navigation, the morphology and preferences of the pilot. The positioning range of the footstrap is 15 cm at the front and 10 cm at the back.
We have chosen modern, high-tech materials over other, more classic and less expensive ones to design a high-quality, high-performance and original foilboard that is as well suited to your foil progression.
